What is Farsi Nevis?​

Farsi Nevis (فارسی نویس) is a smart Persian keyboard for iPhone and iPad. Type Farsi words with English letters (Pinglish/Finglish) and the keyboard converts them to Persian script instantly as you type. It also includes voice typing, translation, themes, and more.

Which devices support Farsi Nevis?​

Farsi Nevis is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 16.0 or later. Download it from the App Store.

Is Farsi Nevis free to use?​

Yes. The keyboard itself — typing, automatic Pinglish-to-Farsi conversion, word suggestions, themes, clipboard, and emoji — is free. Voice typing and translation come with a free monthly allowance, and FarsiNevis Pro unlocks unlimited use plus premium themes and exclusive app icons.

How accurate is the transliteration?​

Very accurate — and it keeps improving. The conversion runs entirely on your device and combines a smart rule engine with a curated dictionary of over 100,000 real-world corrections. If a word converts differently than you intended, tap the Pinglish chip above the keyboard to pick another spelling or edit the word in place.

Can I use Farsi Nevis offline?​

Yes. Typing and Pinglish-to-Farsi conversion work completely offline. Voice typing and translation need an internet connection.

How secure is my typing data?​

We take your privacy seriously:

  • Typing and transliteration happen locally on your device
  • No keystroke data is collected
  • Voice typing sends audio to a speech-recognition service only while you are dictating
  • Online features use encrypted connections

Feature-Specific Questions​

How does voice typing work?​

Tap the microphone on the keyboard toolbar. The Farsi Nevis app opens and starts listening right away — your words appear as you speak. When you switch back to the app you were typing in, the transcript is waiting on the keyboard: tap it to paste. See the Speech to Text guide for details.

Can I use custom themes?​

Yes! Choose from the built-in theme gallery to change your keyboard's colors and style. All premium themes are included with FarsiNevis Pro.

How does the translation feature work?​

Open translation from the keyboard toolbar, write or paste your text, and pick a target language — the translation appears instantly. It supports English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic, German, Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Swedish, and Chinese, and requires an internet connection. See the Translation guide.
